A 'Matte' Concealer?

September 4, 2017

Uh, so to cut to the chase, this Nars matte concealer is the best I've ever tried. I was actually somewhat confused by the 'matte' title, but I now I totally get it. I guess there are matte foundations so why not a concealer? On reflection, I realised every concealer I've ever used has yielded a dewy finish, perhaps it's to avoid creasing under the eyes?

The whole idea behind the Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (a mouthful I know) is that it provides a soft-focus blurring effect whilst being very full coverage. I used this over a few spots I had on my chin and wowzer, GONE! Mirroring the appearance of skin, this unique formula glides over imperfections and dry patches seamlessly with incredible staying power.

The shade Macadamia is perfect for my complexion when covering blemishes or pigmentation, but isn't quite right for dark circles underneath the eyes. For that tricky area, a shade or two lighter would suffice. Despite it's matte finish, it doesn't sink into the fine lines; it's really quite remarkable.

In addition to it's exceptional performance, this concealer has an array of anti-ageing benefits. From collagen-boosting peptides and hyaluronic acid to reduce the appearances of wrinkles and pores by helping plump the look of skin, as well as Vitamins A, C, and E.

Honestly this baby is a game changer. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
